Am I running on my mini vacation? Obviously! A historical fact about running in women: Did you know that women were not allowed to officially participate in marathon races until 1972? The Boston Marathon, for example, didn't allow female runners until that year, when women's rights advocate Kathrine Switzer registered under the gender-neutral name "K.V.
